Updates on WAEC Withheld Results

2017 NEC meeting ended on Thursday, 9th of October. 
On withheld results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2017, NEC has met & decided that results of those found guilty of exam malpractice should be cancelled & results of those exonerated be released.
Relevant Divisions/Departments have been put on notice to ensure that the results of candidates earlier withheld b/c of exam malpractice but exonerated by the 64th NEC are released as quickly as possible.
Hopefully, affected candidates will get to know their fates as from 16th November, 2017.

According to a recent report in Premier Times, academic calendars of our ivory towers have been stable for the past couple of years. This stability becomes obvious with the fact that there have not been industrial unrest by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) in the last 2 or so. What can be the reasons this stability? One of the things that has been done to achieve stability in our universities is the strengthening of institution governance in the federal universities. Tinubu’s administration has taken steps to enforce good governance in Nigerian universities.
