JAMB Opens UTME Slip Printing, But Candidates Still Unable to Access Portal After 14 Hours
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of 2026 UTME examination slip printing. However, more than 14 hours after the announcement, many candidates are still unable to access the reprint portal. As of 6:30am on Friday, April 10, complaints about the site’s inaccessibility persist.
In its official update on X (formerly Twitter) by 4:02am yesterday, JAMB informed candidates that the examination slip (which contains key details such as venue, date, and time) is now ready for printing via its website.
Despite this, a large number of candidates have continued to experience difficulties accessing the portal. Observations as at 6:35am today show that the reprint platform remains either slow, unresponsive, or completely inaccessible for many users, even hours after the announcement was made.
The situation has led to growing frustration among candidates nationwide, as they struggle to confirm their exam details ahead of the 2026 UTME. Several users have reported encountering error messages, prolonged loading times, or total failure to access the page.
The delay has also raised concerns about the platform’s capacity to handle heavy traffic during critical periods like this. With the examination date approaching, candidates are increasingly anxious about securing their slips on time.
As of now, JAMB has not released any additional statement addressing the ongoing access issues or providing a timeline for resolution. Candidates are left to keep trying the portal while awaiting further updates from the board.
