In fact, for some students, participating in the mock UTME may not be necessary or even helpful. Depending on a student’s level of preparedness, learning style, and resources, avoiding the mock can sometimes be a better choice. According to a recent report in Premier Times, academic calendars of our ivory towers have been stable for the past couple of years. This stability becomes obvious with the fact that there have not been industrial unrest by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) in the last 2 or so. What can be the reasons this stability? One of the things that has been done to achieve stability in our universities is the strengthening of institution governance in the federal universities. Tinubu’s administration has taken steps to enforce good governance in Nigerian universities. Post UTME: Federal Universities That Accept Less Than 200 For 2024/25 Admission

 Federal universities are usually highly competitive with many of them requiring candidates to score above 200 in UTME before being considered for admission. However, there are some of these institutions that have fixed lower cut off marks for admission into the 2024/25 academic session. Let us take a look at the most prominent among these ivory towers. FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES THAT ACCEPT 140 The most prominent among them is the University of Calabar (UNICAL). This second generation university has fixed a a minimum tolerable score of 140. UI To Begin 2024 Admission Screening On Monday, July 29

 The University of Ibadan will officially begin the screening of candidates 2024/25 academic session on July 29, 2024. According to a publication (signed on July 26 by the University registrar) on its official website, the exercise will run till August 31, 2024. For a candidate to be eligible, he must not be 16 years of age at the time of application. Such applicant must have also scored 200 or more in the 2024 UTME.  Application Process 1. Login to https://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with your JAMB registration number as username and surname as password. 2. Make payment with on the portal 3. Fill the necessary fields and print the receipt. The post-UTME examination shall take place from Monday, 16 September 2024. However, the date for each candidate will be communicate through the admission portal in due course.

2024 UTME Results Are Now Online

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board have released the 2024 results on their portal. With this development, candidates who lost access to their registered phone number will be able to access their results.  According to a post on the Board's official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the result slips feature advanced security features. However, the slips can not be obtained from road side cybercafes. Candidates that want to print their result will need to visit accredited CBT centres.  A visit to a couple of CBT centres shows that the results are truly online.  Candidates only need to contact a registered CBT centre with their registration Numbers. The cost is between 2100 naira and 2500 naira in most centers surveyed.
