UPDATES ON ADEYEMI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ADMISSIONS

This is to inform the College community that Management has not approved any cut off mark for All the programmes: NCE, Direct Entry and Degree UTME as against what is in circulation on social media and some unaccredited websites. WAEC RELEASES RESULTS 2017 OF 2017 WASSCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES

Of the 133,223 candidates that sat for this years West African Examination Council Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates, only 34,664 repenting 26.01 percent obtained a minimum of five credits in five subjects and above including English and Mathematics.   Announcing the results in Katsina, the Head of WAEC, Nigeria National office Olu Adenipekun said the percentage of candidates in this category in 2015 and 2016 was 28.59 percent and 38.50 percent respectively.   According to him, the results 14,756 candidates representing 11.07 percent are being withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice.   ' The cases are being investigated and reports of the investigations will be presented to the appropriate committee of the council in due course for consideration' he said.

Good News to UI Post UTME Candidates

This is to notify the University 2017/18 candidates, who are unable to secure admissions on the regular mode of the University, that University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre has put modalities in place to offer them admission into any of its programmes. Such candidates are EXEMPTED FROM OBTAINING FRESH APPLICATIONS. They are to check requirements for the programmes on the UIDLC portal, and if eligible, they are to log in to UIDLC portal as a returning Candidate and use their JAMB Registration Numbers as the Username and their Surnames as the Password. Be informed that University of Ibadan is a dual mode University with both Regular and Distance Learning modes of educational delivery. Release of 2017 WAEC Results

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the results of 2017 WASSCE for private candidates will be released before the end of next week. WAEC Head of Public Affairs Department, Demianus Ejijeogu, while responding to a question on his twitter handle, @Iamkingdemian, said the results will be released on or before November 24, 2017. Concerning the withheld results of 2017 WASSCE for school candidates, the image maker said the body does not make public pronouncements on the actual date of release, but that relevant divisions/departments are working tirelessly to ensure a speedy release.

Updates on WAEC Withheld Results

2017 NEC meeting ended on Thursday, 9th of October.  On withheld results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2017, NEC has met & decided that results of those found guilty of exam malpractice should be cancelled & results of those exonerated be released. Relevant Divisions/Departments have been put on notice to ensure that the results of candidates earlier withheld b/c of exam malpractice but exonerated by the 64th NEC are released as quickly as possible. Hopefully, affected candidates will get to know their fates as from 16th November, 2017.
