Federal Universities That Have Rolled Out Post UTME Forms For 2024/25 Session

Following the annoucement of the minimum tolerable UTME scores for 2023/24 session, government-owned universities have begun to roll out their admission processes for the term. In this article, we will take a look at the federal degree awarding institutions that have already begun the process of admission. It should be noted that these universities must be the first choice before a candidate can apply. 


University of Jos

This university is unique because they will be admitting candidates of the 2023 and 2024 UTME. The screening of Direct entry applicants began on July 22 and will close on August 10, 2024. The portal to register is https://portal.unijos.edu.ng/Account/Login



Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State

The minimum score required to applied for admission into this university is 150 (for candidates that intend to study Chemistry, Sociology, Agriculture, Biological and Environmental Sciences). However, applicants must score above 200 to be eligible to apply for Nursing and above 220 to study Medicine or Law. Registration should be done at http://www.funai.edu.ng before August 23, 2024.


Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Katsina state

Candidates that scored 140 in 2024 UTME are eligible to apply. The deadline is August 13 and the portal is https://portal.fudutsinma.edu.ng/admissions


University of Calabar (UNICAL), Cross River State

The minimum tolerable score for this university is 140. Interestingly, students can apply for admission into UNICAL before make the university a first choice.

Registration Deadline: August 13, 2023


Federal University, Lafia (FULAFIA), Nasarawa State

The minimum tolerable score is 170. However, some high profile courses have higher cut off marks. These include Human Anatomy and Physiology (200), Nursing and Radiography (210), Medical Laboratory Science (220) and Medicine and Surgery (230)

University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers State

Admission is opened to candidates that made this institution their first choice and scored 160 or more in 2024 UTME.
