Post UTME: Federal Universities That Accept Less Than 200 For 2024/25 Admission

 Federal universities are usually highly competitive with many of them requiring candidates to score above 200 in UTME before being considered for admission. However, there are some of these institutions that have fixed lower cut off marks for admission into the 2024/25 academic session. Let us take a look at the most prominent among these ivory towers.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES THAT ACCEPT 140

The most prominent among them is the University of Calabar (UNICAL). This second generation university has fixed a a minimum tolerable score of 140. Interestingly, candidates that did not initially choose UNICAL but meet the requirements can also apply. 



The two other universities in this category are: 

Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State 

Federal University, Otuoke (FUOTUOKE), Bayelsa State 

FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES THAT ACCEPT 150

So far, there are two of them. The first is Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (AE-FUNAI). The minimum tolerable score for this institute is as low as 150 for many courses. However candidates that want to study Nursing must score above 200. Similarly, those aspiring for Law and MBBS must have above 220 in 2024 UTME.

Federal University of Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) is next. Like FUOTUOKE, this school accepts 150 for a couple of courses but candidates that prefer the prestigious disciplines must score above 200.

University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is the only university that accepts 160 for the 2024/25 admission.

Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) also is also worthy of mention. These university accepts as minimum score of 170 for admission in the 2024/25 session.

According to a recent report in Premier Times, academic calendars of our ivory towers have been stable for the past couple of years. This stability becomes obvious with the fact that there have not been industrial unrest by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) in the last 2 or so.
