Are an undergraduate studying a Science or Technology Related course in Nigeria? This information is for you.

The MTN Scholarship Scheme is an annual scholarship award that seeks to recognize and reward qualified high performing students. It is made up of the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (MTN STSS) and the MTN Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (MTN SSBS). Both Scholarships under the Youth Empowerment Cause, are currently in their 9th and 7th phase respectively.

Under both scholarships, eligible 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses and blind students studying in Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education) across Nigeria are awarded scholarships worth N200,000.00 annually till graduation as long as they maintain the required grades.

WAEC RELEASES MAY/JUNE 2018 RESULTS

— West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has released results of West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, Wednesday, in Lagos with 49.98 per cent obtained five credits in English Language and Mathematics. Waec Result 2017.Speaking at WAEC national office in Lagos, Head of Nigeria Office, Mr Olu Adenipekun, said: “786,016 candidates representing 49.98% obtained credits and above in minimum of five subjects including English Language and Mathematics.”In 2016, the total percentage of candidates that had five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics were 52.97%, while in 2017, it was 59.22% .Thought the HNO acknowledged that there are cases of examination malpractice, but declined to give the statistics, noting that it was minimal.
