HOW TO ENSURE YOU GET YOUR UNIVERSITY ADMISSION THIS YEAR

If your score is below 200, your chances of university admission are slim but you can improve your chances by following this instruction.

1. Apply for the post UTME of your choice institution but ensure that you select a course that is less popular (yet professional).

For candidates in Arts class, courses like linguistics, French, Foreign languages and Library Studies are usually less subscribed in the universities. Yet, they have wide prospects in the labour market.

For commercial candidates, courses like Business Education and Office Technology Management are less popular but in short supply in the labour market.

Candidates from science department should quickly change  to courses like Library and Information Science (this is a less known field with high demand in the labour market). Those in medical fields can make do with courses Anatomy or Physiology (allied medical courses)

2. In order to boost your chances of admission, you should also apply to two or more additional institutions (that allow candidates that did not choose them to apply) like Ekiti State University, Adekunle Ajasin University, Adeyemi College of Education.

3. Ensure you visit the school or keep calling somebody in the schools to which you apply to keep yourself abreast of information in the school.

4. For schools that write post UTME tests, ensure you get their past questions and attend coaching classes to sharpen your brain and learn  tricks for handling different types of questions.

Note
Before you apply for any course ensure that your olevel results and UTME subjects are compatible with your course of choice.
