Lagos State Government Recruitment

All is now set for recruitment of 2200 teachers (1000 for primary schools and 1200 for secondary schools) by the Lagos state government.

The process begin on August 31st and ends on September 6th.

For primary schools:
Applicants should possess any of the following academic qualifications; (i). Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and a First Degree (ii). Bachelor of Education (B.Ed/B.Sc Ed/B.A Ed) in Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Home Economics and other courses relevant to the above listed subjects ( i– xviii). (iii). Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) (iv). Higher National Diploma (HND) and Technical Teachers Certificate (TTC)/Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

 For secondary schools:
Applicants should possess any of the following academic qualifications; (i). Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and a First Degree (ii). Opinion: Why Universities' Academic Calendars Have Been Stable Over The Past Couple Of Years

According to a recent report in Premier Times, academic calendars of our ivory towers have been stable for the past couple of years. This stability becomes obvious with the fact that there have not been industrial unrest by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) in the last 2 or so. What can be the reasons this stability? One of the things that has been done to achieve stability in our universities is the strengthening of institution governance in the federal universities. Tinubu’s administration has taken steps to enforce good governance in Nigerian universities.
